Abstract | Tuberculosis (TB) rates among transplant recipients are 20-74 times higher than in the general population, and have a mortality rate of up to 30%. The majority are potentially preventable. Most cases are reactivated latent infection after immune suppression. Donor-transmitted TB is very rare. We report three cases of TB that were transmitted by organ transplantation from a single donor. |
